Freek van der Borch van Verwolde is currently the Secretary and Coordinator of Education and Training at RLc Rotterdam Rijnmond with Nederlands Loodswezen. They served as a Chief Pilot at Nederlands Loodswezen from 2006 to 2015 and held the position of Naval Officer with Koninklijke Marine from 1997 to 2004. Freek's educational background includes a Registerloods degree obtained from Loodswezen in 2007, a degree in Maritime Officer, Navigation, and Ship Engineering from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences awarded in 1997, and a degree from the Royal Military Academy completed in 1999. They began their education at Jacob van Liesveldt, receiving their HAVO diploma in 1992.
