M.A Mijal Schmidt is a licensed clinical psychologist with extensive experience in psychotherapy, counseling, and clinical operations. Currently serving as a psychoanalyst in private practice since January 2008, Mijal Schmidt also holds roles as an integration psychotherapist at ICEERS and Nectara, alongside serving as the Director of Clinical Care at Nectara. With a longstanding position as Senior Director of Clinical Operations at Lazo y Voz, Mijal Schmidt has coordinated interdisciplinary teams and developed intervention strategies for patients facing psychosocial and mental challenges. Additional expertise includes training roles across various organizations, specializing in brief therapy and team-building programs, along with a significant contribution to the police training system in Mexico City. Mijal Schmidt's academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Musicology and Ethnomusicology from the University of Amsterdam, alongside multiple diplomas and certifications in psychology and crisis intervention, including a recent certification in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy from Harvard Medical School.
