Shayna Steingard possesses a diverse background in education, research, and policy, with extensive experience in environmental science and teaching. Shayna served as a Research Assistant at Arizona State University, focusing on soil ecology, and later worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs, conducting literature reviews on environmental justice. As a Corps Member with Teach For America, Shayna taught science to elementary students and developed curriculum effectively. In subsequent roles, including Communications Fellow at Sycamore Land Trust and various positions at the National Wildlife Federation and Defenders of Wildlife, Shayna specialized in wildlife policy and renewable energy.
