W. Burrell Ellis, Jr. is an accomplished attorney and corporate and government affairs consultant with a strong background in public service and advocacy for social justice. They served as the Political Director for the ACLU of Georgia from 2017 to 2019, where they developed a public policy advocacy infrastructure and significantly expanded the organization’s volunteer database. As the Chief Executive Officer of DeKalb County from 2009 to 2016, they managed extensive operations and implemented innovative initiatives to enhance civic engagement and service delivery. Currently, Ellis is the owner of Burrell Ellis Consulting and a Senior Advisor at the National Urban League, leveraging their expertise in legal and public policy to support various organizations.
