Assem ABO-SHANAB is an experienced Immunogenetics Research Scientist and Bioinformatician at the National Research Centre since October 2015, specializing in multi-omics data analysis with next-generation sequencing tools, Python, R, and machine learning to enhance drug design and investigate genetic mutations related to diseases such as cancer. Prior to this role, Assem served as a Researcher and Bioinformatics Analyst during a Ph.D. program and worked as an Assistant Researcher and Biostatistician at the Human Genetics and Genome Institute, applying various laboratory techniques and data analysis skills. Assem's early career included a position as a Medical Laboratory Manager at Gama Lab. Academically, Assem holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Cairo University, alongside a Master's degree in Biochemistry and a diploma in Applied Microbiology from Sohag University.
