Nikos Kopidakis is the Technical Lead for the Photovoltaic Cell and Module Performance group at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, focusing on materials development and characterization for organic photovoltaics. Previously, Nikos served as a Senior Lecturer at Macquarie University and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Denver's Department of Physics and Astronomy. With experience also as a Senior Research Scientist at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Nikos specialized in the photophysics of organic and nanostructured energy conversion materials. Nikos began their academic journey with a PhD in Physics of Amorphous Semiconductors from the University of Crete, followed by a postdoctoral research position at Syracuse University, where they investigated the device physics of amorphous silicon and dye-sensitized TiO2 solar cells.
