Brennan Borlaug is currently the Transportation Energy Systems Modeling Lead at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), where they study the impacts of electrified transport on power systems as a Research Analyst in the Transportation Energy Transition Analysis Group. Previously, they held the position of Team Lead in Advanced Modeling at NREL and completed a graduate internship in the Systems Analysis and Integration Group. Brennan earned a Master’s Degree in Information and Data Science from UC Berkeley and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University. Their background combines engineering and data science to conduct large-scale analyses related to advanced mobility systems and infrastructure.
