Jeff Sano is currently the Deputy CIO of Clinical Informatics at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Prior to this role, Jeff served as the Director of Clinical Informatics at MedStar Health from 2015 to 2020, and has experience as a Master Fire Fighter with Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service from 2010 to 2016. Jeff holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from The University of Alabama in Huntsville and has multiple degrees, including a Master of Science in Information Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Kettering University. Jeff also earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Georgetown University and a Master of Science in Nursing Informatics from Walden University.
