William McCarthy is a MD candidate at UTHealth McGovern Medical School who embodies a commitment to lifelong learning through diverse experiences in medicine, research, and art. They have engaged in significant research in neonatology, cancer neuroscience, environmental health, and global healthcare innovation across Colorado and Texas. Previously, William has worked as a professional research assistant at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus and has served in various volunteer roles, including medical service in Peru and at community clinics. As co-founder and CEO of Health in Your Hands Diagnostics, they strive to deliver equitable healthcare solutions. William actively contributes to the field as a research medical student at MD Anderson Cancer Center and as an expert reviewer for the National Geographic Society.
