Senior Manager, Outreach & Engagement

Tessa Shultz (Siċaŋġu Lakota) has over 15 years of experience in cultural heritage program development, dedicated to enhancing epistemic diversity within major institutions. Currently serving as the Senior Manager for Outreach & Engagement at the National Geographic Society, Tessa designs values-based stewardship strategies for ethical engagement with global communities. Previously, Tessa worked at the Smithsonian Institution as an Assistant Project Manager for the National Museum of the American Indian, where they engaged Native communities and managed significant grant funds. Tessa's educational background includes pursuing a B.A. in English Writing Rhetoric and Culture and Fine Art at the University of Puget Sound.
