Garnett Wilson is currently a Senior Specialist in Software Development at Nasdaq (Verafin) and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Dalhousie University's Faculty of Computer Science. At Nasdaq, Garnett's team focuses on designing algorithms for fraud detection and anti-money laundering analysis. Previously, Garnett served as CEO and CTO of a small business providing equities analysis software, which was sold in 2015. Garnett also held postdoctoral fellowships at Memorial University, collaborating with Verafin and the Canadian Department of Fisheries and Oceans, and has published work in artificial intelligence and machine learning. They completed a Ph.D. in Computer Science at Dalhousie University and participated in the Entrepreneurial Leaders Program at the University of New Brunswick.
