Adrian Stoica is a JPL Emeritus and the current President Elect of the IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society. They are a NIAC Fellow at NASA Innovative Advanced Concepts and have been a Senior Research Scientist at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory since 1996, where they manage strategic projects and have contributed significantly to research in autonomy for robotic systems, including Mars rovers. Adrian holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Victoria University and a Master of Engineering from Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iași. Their personal interests encompass AI, robotics, and space systems.
