Ileana Galdamez, Ph.D., is currently a NASA Postdoctoral Program Fellow at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory and an Assistant Professor in Biological Sciences at Biola University. They have previously interned at various organizations, including the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California and the City of Los Angeles, where they contributed to research in environmental science and sustainability. Ileana earned their degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, from 2019 to 2023. Throughout their career, they have focused on water quality assessment and conservation efforts.
