Jan Van Meirhaeghe has extensive experience in both the medical and political fields. Since January 2012, Jan has served as a Gemeenteraadslid and Provincieraadslid for N-VA in Damme and West-Vlaanderen, respectively. In the medical field, Jan has held the position of Orthopaedic Surgeon at AZ Sint Jan Brugge Oostende AV since August 1988 and worked as an MD at RJAH from 1987 to 1988. Jan's educational background includes a Doctorate in Medicine from Ghent University, various specialized degrees in medico-legal studies, and a fellowship in spinal surgery. Jan also has certifications in sports medicine and a post-academic qualification in judicial expertise.
