Christine Schaette is an experienced furniture conservator who has worked extensively in the field of object conservation. They held the position of Associate Furniture Conservator at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston from 2014 to 2020, after serving as an Assistant Furniture Conservator there from 2009 to 2014. Prior to this, Christine gained valuable experience as an Assistant Conservator for Objects at the Riverside Project, Glasgow Museums from 2006 to 2008, and completed an internship at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in 2003. Christine also worked freelance at the Institute of Culture in the City of Duesseldorf in 2008, and holds a Diplom in the conservation of wood and modern materials from Cologne University of Applied Sciences, where they studied from 2001 to 2006.
