Michael Darling is an accomplished art professional with extensive experience in curatorial and leadership roles. Currently serving as Co-Founder and Chief Growth Officer at Museum Exchange since February 2021, Michael previously held the position of Chief Curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago from June 2010 to February 2021. Prior to that, Michael was the Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at Seattle Art Museum from June 2006 to June 2010 and served as Associate Curator at MOCA | The Museum of Contemporary Art from January 1998 to June 2006. Michael holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Art and Architectural History from the University of California Santa Barbara, earned between January 1991 and January 1998.
