Simon Burchett is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of broad experience in the maritime, coastal, and flood-risk sectors. Currently, they serve as the Technical Principal and Coastal & Offshore Account Lead at Mott MacDonald, a role they began in 2024. Previously, Simon held multiple engineering positions at various companies, including Principal Maritime Engineer at Halcrow and Lead roles at Atkins and WSP in the UK from 2010 to 2024. They earned a BEng (Hons) in Civil & Coastal Engineering from the University of Plymouth between 1994 and 1998.
