Senior Scientist I - MEU Food Safety Sanitation

Gemma Thompson is a seasoned professional in food safety and quality systems with extensive experience in the food industry. Currently serving as Senior Scientist I in Food Safety Sanitation at Mondelēz International since September 2019, Gemma Thompson works within the global food safety team to enforce microbiological and contaminant standards. Previous roles at Mondelēz include positions as Chocolate Scientist I and Scientist I in Global Food Safety. Prior to this, Gemma Thompson held various leadership positions at Kerry Foods from March 2011 to August 2019, including Quality Systems Group Leader and Quality Systems Team Leader. Earlier experience includes roles at Mercian as a Laboratory Technician. Gemma Thompson holds a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences with a focus on Microbiology from the University of Birmingham.
