Gang Sun is a seasoned optical engineer with extensive experience in telecommunication and semiconductor industries. Currently serving as a Sr. Optical Engineer at Molex since October 2021, Gang focuses on developing Wavelength Selective Switches. Previous roles include Senior Member of Technical Staff at Rudolph Technologies, where responsibilities encompassed leading product development and scientific research for metrology tools, and serving as a Sr. Research Scientist at Therma-Wave, where innovative measurement solutions for thin films were designed. Additional experience includes positions at SunOptical Systems LLC, where customized optical sensors for manufacturing were developed, a role at Nanometrics in product development for DUV-VIS Spectroscopic Ellipsometry, and research at Ford Motor Company to investigate body corrosion. Gang holds a PhD in Physics from Wayne State University and an MBA in General Management from Rutgers University.
