Silvia Franconeri graduated with a Master's degree in Chemistry from the University of Rome, "La Sapienza" in 2000. They began their career at Bristol Myers Squibb in 2002 as a Clinical Site Manager and later transitioned to the Pharmacovigilance department in 2004, becoming the Senior Pharmacovigilance Associate and eventually managing pharmacovigilance activities for the Italian Affiliate. In 2009, they joined Merck as the Local Patient Safety Officer for Italy and Malta, where they were responsible for compliance with regulatory requirements and training new hires. Currently, Silvia serves as the Director and Pharmacovigilance Country Head for Italy at Moderna.
