Alberto Perez-Medina, Ph.D., is an experienced Postdoctoral Researcher currently engaged in regulatory and medical writing at MMS. They hold a Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmacology and Toxicology with a focus on Neuroscience from Michigan State University, where they completed their PhD in 2019. Previously, they contributed to research at the University of Michigan, employing optogenetics and electrophysiological techniques to investigate opioid pain modulation. Alberto's extensive background includes multiple research roles and a solid foundation in microbiology, having earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Puerto Rico-Arecibo.
