Paul Palfreyman is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in mechanical engineering and product development. Currently serving as the Manager of Mechanical Engineering and Principal Mechanical Engineer at MKS Instruments since November 2022, Paul focuses on developing optical and position sensors for the semiconductor manufacturing industry. Prior experience includes leadership roles at Cooledge Lighting Inc., where contributions were made to LED lighting products, and at Recon Instruments, leading mechanical design for consumer products featuring head-mounted displays. Additionally, Paul has designed backcountry ski equipment at G3 Genuine Guide Gear, worked on LED lighting systems at TIR Systems Ltd, and managed a significant production installation project at GKN Sheepbridge Stokes Limited. Paul holds an MEng in Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Cambridge.
