Troy Townsend is a senior principal cybersecurity engineer and manager of the Cyber and Investigative Operations department at MITRE. They lead MITRE's cyber support to Federal law enforcement sponsors, overseeing 11 projects and managing a budget of $23 million across various technical domains. Formerly, Troy worked in the Cyber Operations and Effects Innovation Center at MITRE Labs, enhancing cybersecurity operations centers and analytics. Prior to their current role, they served as an Air Force Cyber Operations Officer, conducting all-source cyber threat analysis for several intelligence agencies, including U.S. Cyber Command. Troy holds a BS in Development Sociology from Cornell University and an ALM in Government from Harvard University.
