Luciane Maimone is an Associate Professor of Applied Linguistics and Graduate Program Director at Missouri State University since August 2022. Previously, Luciane served as an Assistant Professor of Applied Linguistics at the same institution from August 2016 to September 2022, and worked as a Portuguese and Spanish Instructor, Graduate Teaching Assistant, and Research Assistant at Georgetown University from August 2013 to August 2016. Additionally, Luciane has served as an Urban Planner for the Prefeitura Municipal de Maringá from March 2000 to January 2005. Since January 2024, Luciane has held the position of Portuguese Language Journal Editor at the American Organization of Teachers of Portuguese. Luciane completed education at Georgetown University from 2013 to 2017.
