Reid Wixson is an accomplished music educator who currently serves as the Director of Instrumental Music at Minneapolis Southwest High School, where they direct concert bands and string ensembles, teach IB Music, and oversee jazz and athletic bands. Previously, Reid held positions as the Director of Bands and General Music Specialist in the ISD 191 Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District, Director of Bands at the American School of Bombay, and Band Director at Kenwood Trail Middle School and Eden Prairie School District. Reid earned a Master of Arts in Instrumental Music Education from the University of St. Thomas and a Bachelor of Music in Instrumental Music Education from St. Olaf College. Passionate about personalized learning in a constructivist environment, Reid is dedicated to fostering musical growth among secondary students.
