David Yard is an experienced professional with a strong background in food safety and response management. Currently serving as Response Manager at MAF since February 2007 and as Principal Advisor Response at the Ministry for Primary Industries since May 2019, David has also held the position of Head of Food Incidents at the Food Standards Agency from January 2002 to February 2007. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Biological Sciences, specializing in Zoology and Animal Biology from the University of Leicester, and a Diploma in Environmental Health from The University of Hull.
