Steve Cron is a retired Senior Principal Product Development Engineer with over 30 years of experience in automotive tire product development, specializing in both pneumatic and non-pneumatic technologies. They co-invented the Michelin TWEEL and UPTIS tire technologies and have a robust background in Finite Element Analysis focused on large deformation elastomeric structures. Steve's career includes roles as a Project Engineer in the US Air Force and an Instructor of Engineering Mechanics at the US Air Force Academy, in addition to significant contributions at Michelin. They hold a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia and an MS in Aeronautical Engineering from the U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology.
