Jaakko Palokangas is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in digital technology development and automation. Currently serving as Director of Digital Technology Development for Metso’s Aggregates customer segment since October 2020, Jaakko leads the digital development roadmap and budget management. Prior roles include Senior Manager of Intelligent Automation at Metso Outotec, where leadership of a software team focused on real-time systems was paramount. Jaakko's background includes serving as Integration Manager and Software Project Manager at Outotec, alongside diverse positions at Tieto, Flextronics ODM Finland, Filtronic LK, and Outokumpu, where expertise in project management, quality assurance, and software development was demonstrated. Jaakko holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Tampere and a Master of Science in Process Engineering from the University of Oulu, along with an Erasmus exchange experience at the University of Galway.
