William Jefferson is an Attorney with extensive experience in Labor Relations and Operations Management in large transit organizations. They served as the Director of Labor Relations at New York City Transit from 2008 to 2024, where they acted as Chief Labor Advisor for the Queens Division of the Department of Buses and the Department of Paratransit Services. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Director of Labor Relations at the MTA New York City Transit Authority, overseeing labor relations for the Department of Buses Divisions. William's earlier roles included Hearing Officer and Senior Hearing Officer, where they conducted grievance hearings and managed employee relations across five operating divisions. They earned their Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University from 1989 to 1992.
