Nicole Ferrara is the Deputy Chief Planning Officer at Los Angeles Metro, bringing over 15 years of experience at the intersection of public health and urban planning. They previously managed the Major Projects Division at the City of Oakland Department of Transportation, overseeing the design and delivery of significant infrastructure projects that enhance active transportation and transit. Their earlier roles include serving as the Executive Director of Walk San Francisco, where they led initiatives like the Vision Zero campaign, and as a Policy & Intergovernmental Affairs Advisor for Oakland. Nicole holds a Master in City Planning and a Master of Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Southern California.
