Mark Kim-Mulgrew is an experienced professional with a background in science writing and software engineering. As a AAAS Mass Media Science & Engineering Fellow at NPR in 2016, Mark contributed to science communication as one of 16 fellows. Following this, Mark worked as a freelance science writer from 2016 to 2018, with publications in notable outlets such as New Scientist and Quanta Magazine. Mark transitioned to software engineering roles, first as a Software Development Engineer at Amazon Web Services from 2018 to 2021, enhancing operational efficiency for large clients, and currently serves as a Software Engineer in AI Infrastructure at Meta since March 2021, focusing on improving the reliability of machine learning model training. Mark holds a Master of Science in Mathematics from the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Rutgers University.
