James Whymark has extensive experience in intellectual property law, highlighted by a tenure as a Senior Associate in the IP team at Baker & McKenzie LLP from March 2006 to June 2018, specializing in IP enforcement, brand protection, and anti-counterfeiting actions. Following this, James worked at Meta where roles included Head of the Product IP Team and Head of the Copyright Protection Team, focusing on providing IP advice across Meta's suite of applications and safeguarding original content. James also served as Associate General Counsel, leading IP counsel efforts for Facebook in the EMEA region. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Nottingham and a law degree from Nottingham Law School.
