James Zhang is a Business Controller with extensive experience in finance and commercial management. Currently serving as the China Finance Controller and Global Controller at Merck Group since 2021, James supports business growth through strategic planning and financial analysis. Prior to this, James held positions such as Regional Commercial Manager at BASF, where they managed pricing strategy and operational management, and Asia Business Controller at Solvay, where they oversaw performance reviews and financial planning. James began their career as a Senior Associate at PwC Hong Kong and mainland China and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, and Management from the University of Nottingham.
