David Simpson is a Principal Mechanical Engineer at Medtronic, with a strong background in complex electro-mechanical and thermal systems. They have experience in all aspects of product design, including prototype development, software and hardware development, and design testing and verification. David has led and mentored engineers through projects requiring cross-departmental coordination and is a lead inventor on four provisional patents. They hold a B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rochester and the University of Pennsylvania, respectively, and have also worked in various roles, including Senior Mechanical Engineer at Hamilton Storage and Mechanical Engineer II at Waters Corporation.
