Karen S. Phillips, RN, MSN, BSN, is currently the Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer of the Perioperative Service Line at MedStar Health. They have extensive experience in clinical operations and patient care leadership, having previously served as the Specialty Director for Perioperative Services at Emory Healthcare, where they significantly improved clinical outcomes and enhanced surgical volumes. Prior to that, Karen was involved in various nursing roles, including Clinical Staff Nurse and Nurse Educator at Southern Regional Medical Center. With a strong focus on patient-centered care, collaboration, and operational excellence, Karen is dedicated to driving positive change in healthcare environments. They are pursuing an MSN from South University and a BSN from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University.
