Charmaine Ivey

Director of Population and Community Health

Charmaine Ivey, Ed.D, MA, MPH, CHES®, is a transformational public health leader and recognized expert in health equity, health education, and maternal and child health. Currently serving as the Director of Population and Community Health at MedStar Health, Charmaine directs strategic planning for health initiatives impacting over 200,000 residents. With over 10 years of experience, Charmaine has successfully led high-impact programs, secured significant grant funding, and improved health outcomes for underserved populations. Previous roles include 3DE Lead Teacher of Student Development at Prince George's County Public Schools and Graduate Fellow at Black Mamas Matter Alliance. Charmaine is pursuing advanced degrees in public health and health education from Teachers College, Columbia University and holds a Bachelor's degree in Public Health from Temple University.
