Kate Andrus is a seasoned professional in environmental planning and sustainability, currently serving as the National Environmental and Sustainability Practice Leader and Planning Department Manager at Mead & Hunt since June 2012. In this role, Kate manages a team of aviation planners across the Rocky Mountain/South Central region and oversees various aviation planning projects nationwide. With a focus on sustainability, Kate has led numerous FAA-funded pilot projects aimed at developing Sustainable Master Plans and Sustainability Management Plans. Prior experience includes working as an Environmental Planner/Technical Editor at Barnard Dunkelberg and Company, where Kate specialized in NEPA documentation and noise compatibility studies. Earlier in her career, Kate was a Daily News Journalism Intern at the Longmont Times Call. Kate holds a Master’s degree in Journalism and Environmental Policy as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Colorado Boulder.
