Purushotham Kamath is an accomplished technology professional with extensive experience in software and artificial intelligence. Currently serving as the Head of Software at MatX since 2025, Kamath previously held the position of VP of AI Infra Software at d-Matrix from 2021 to 2025, and served as the Director of Machine Learning Systems at Groq from 2018 to 2021. Kamath is also the founder of SigFind, where work was conducted from 2013 to 2018, and held the role of Senior Staff Manager/Engineer at Atheros Communications from 2006 to 2012. Additionally, Kamath started a career as a Software Engineer at Hewlett Packard (formerly VeriFone) from 1995 to 1999. Academically, Kamath earned a PhD and an MS in Computer Engineering from the University of Southern California, as well as a BE in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Bangalore University.
