Julie Kelly Hunter currently serves as the Assistant Principal of Instruction and has previously taught English at Mastery Schools since July 2016. Hunter co-led professional development initiatives promoting equity and generated significant academic improvements among students, surpassing network averages in assessments and surveys. Experience includes membership in the National SEED Project, focusing on social change, and founding Renegades for Change, a program designed for youth to engage critically with community issues through documentary filmmaking. Hunter's teaching background includes a role as an English Teacher and Teach For America Corps Member at Roger Williams Middle School, where notable student reading growth was achieved. Additionally, Hunter has held leadership positions in basketball coaching and contributed to hiring committees. Education includes a Master of Education from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts from Muhlenberg College.
