Jonathan Marvel is an architect and urban designer with over 30 years of experience in architectural planning, community economic development, and sustainable design. They are the founding Principal at Marvel Architects, with offices in New York City and San Juan, and they currently teach at Pratt Instituteās Graduate School of Planning and Placemaking. Jonathan has previously taught as an adjunct at esteemed institutions including Harvard and Parsons, and has received numerous national and international design awards. In addition to their professional work, Jonathan is the founder of Truck Product Architecture, Rock 12 Security Architecture, and Citizen Designer, a participatory planning nonprofit, and serves on several boards, including The Buckminster Fuller Institute and The Isamu Noguchi Museum.
