Catherine Gunther Kodat is currently serving as the Provost and Dean of Faculty and a Professor of English at Marist University. With a robust background in academia, they have held positions at various institutions, including Professor of English at Lawrence University and Hamilton College, where they chaired the Department of Literature & Creative Writing. Kodat began their career as a metro desk reporter and dance critic at The Baltimore Sun from 1981 to 1987. They earned a Ph.D. in English from Boston University and have been a visiting academic at renowned institutions, including Linacre College, Oxford, and Rothermere American Institute.
