Ioannis Fountas is a Fleet HSQE Manager and Deputy CSO at Maran Gas Maritime Inc., specializing in fleet operations for various LNG vessel types since 2005. With marine seagoing experience as a Master Mariner, Ioannis has successfully managed LNG cargo plants, served as a drydocking master, and acted as an instructor for cargo handling simulators and SIGTTO training. Past roles include Fleet Operation Manager and HSQE Superintendent, as well as Chief Officer on LNG vessels. Ioannis holds a Master Mariner degree from the Merchant Navy Directorate and an Executive Shipping Certificate from Alba Graduate Business School.
