Sherry Lu, Ph.D., is a bioprocess and fermentation expert with over 15 years of hands-on experience in fermentation process development, tech transfer, and optimization across various scales. Currently serving as Principal Scientist in Fermentation Process Development at Manus, Sherry manages a team focused on innovation and scale-up of precision fermentation processes. Previously, Sherry held key roles at DSM and Martek Biosciences Corporation, contributing significantly to process engineering and operational management. Sherry's academic background includes pursuing a Ph.D. in Biological and Agricultural Engineering with a focus on fermentation and metabolic engineering at The University of Georgia.
