Elizabeth Kay Nyigor

Director, Policy Research And Advocacy

Elizabeth Kay Nyigor currently serves as a Director for Policy Research and Advocacy at the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission, where responsibilities include overseeing the national 5G rollout and advising government officials on relevant policies. Elizabeth previously held roles as Deputy Director in both the Strategic Policy Sector and the 5G Delivery Office. As a Chevening Scholar, Elizabeth studied for an LLM in Technology, Media and Telecommunications at Queen Mary University of London. Earlier experience includes a Special Functions Officer role at the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs, where Elizabeth provided strategic policy advice, conducted research, and engaged with industry stakeholders. Elizabeth has also managed international affairs at the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission and completed an internship at Packet One Networks. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in International Relations from the National University of Malaysia and the aforementioned Master's degree.
