Dr. Matthew A. Weissman is the Chair of the Department of Medicine at Maimonides Medical Center and a primary care Med-Peds physician. They are Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics and serve as an Adjunct Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Previously, they held leadership roles including Site Chair of the Department of Medicine at Mount Sinai Beth Israel and Chief Medical Officer at Community Healthcare Network, where they established the first Nurse Practitioner fellowship program in New York State. Dr. Weissman earned an AB in Economics from Harvard University and both an MD and MBA from Tufts University, and they currently co-chair the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene’s Citywide Colorectal Cancer Control Coalition.
