Mahila Housing Trust (MHT)- Towards Responsible Urban Development, a force for positive change in the urban informal sector since 1994. 

MHT’s mission is to strengthen grassroots collectives of women in the urban informal sector to advance constructive dialogue and action on improving their housing, living and working environments.

What We Do:
MHT operates across sectors, focusing on:

1.Improving the Quality of Habitats: MHT is dedicated to enhance living conditions, ensuring every individual has access to a dignified and safe home.

2.Building Resilience to Climate Change: MHT actively works towards climate-resilient communities, implementing strategies to mitigate environmental challenges.

3.Promoting Participatory Governance: Empowering communities to actively engage in the decision-making process, fostering a sense of ownership and shared responsibility.
