Sanna Fowler, PhD, is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in strategy and governance within the biotechnology and academic sectors. Currently serving as Executive Director of Global Strategy at Lonza since October 2017, responsibilities include managing content and governance for the innovation and technology council, as well as overseeing divisional strategy and transversal program management. Prior to Lonza, Sanna held various roles at EPFL, including Deputy Director of Development and Deputy Director of Communications, where significant contributions were made to project management, communications, and public relations. Sanna’s early career included sponsorship management at Team Alinghi SA and research at the University of Oxford. Sanna holds a PhD in Immunology from the University of Oxford and a BSc in Immunology from the University of Glasgow, complemented by recent executive education at INSEAD.
