Rick Staa is a Technical Director and co-founder of the Livepeer Foundation, where they focus on technical vision and decentralized ecosystem growth. With a background in Mechanical Engineering, Rick's journey began in robotics and AI research, leading to a series of roles in both the open-source and corporate sectors. They have contributed to various projects, including the development of AI video compute capabilities and VR training environments. Rick holds a Master's degree in Biomechanical Design from Delft University of Technology and has worked in diverse roles, from sports massage therapy to engineering positions.
