Stephen Roybal is an experienced engineer with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arizona. Starting as a GIS tech intern at Hydrology Bureau, Stephen contributed to water rights protection through 3-D modeling and mapping. Subsequent internships at Tucson Electric Power Company involved developing standards for protective relays. At Lockheed Martin, as an ASIC/FPGA Design Engineer, Stephen led FPGA verification efforts. As a Sr. System Engineer at General Dynamics AIS, responsibilities included system integration for an FPGA-based communications network, customer interaction, and formal testing. Most recently, at SA Photonics, a CACI Company, Stephen served as a System Engineer and lead developer of automation tools, engaging in prototype terminal integration, customer requirement analysis, and training team members, while also receiving recognition for exceptional support. Stephen's diverse skill set spans various engineering disciplines, with particular expertise in optics and hardware validation.
