Royal Toy is a Professor and Interim Chair of Teacher Education & Mathematics (TEAM) at Lewis-Clark State College, where they oversee curriculum development and support faculty growth. Previously, Royal served as an Associate Professor at Mississippi University for Women from 2009 to 2018 and directed the Mississippi Governor's School, providing specialized programming for gifted students. Royal earned a Doctorate in Special Education with a focus on Teaching the Gifted & Talented from the University of Northern Colorado. Their extensive experience includes roles as a Gifted Teacher and Music Teacher, as well as involvement with the Mississippi Association for Gifted Children.
